Back from NY!

We survived our first plane trip with a child! YAY! Let me tell you, I was so nervous about it that I almost had a panic attack on the first airplane. But Tristan is SUCH a good traveler! He nursed & fell asleep on each plane ride. We had to stop in Washington on the way up & Philadelphia on the way down, so I was nervous about having to switch planes, but it wasn't so bad. I think the noise just has a magical effect on him. Maybe I should recreate that noise in his bedroom? LOL.

We stayed with Tom's friend Aaron & his wife Connie for 5 nights. They graciously let us stay with them & use their car to go to places like Friendly's, Abbott's, and the infamous Wegman's. We were there for visiting, but we had to enjoy the things around there that are not here in NC. Wegman's being top priority since that grocery store is seriously in it's own league of grocery stores. Tom's mother, of all people, wants to get a Facebook group going to try to get Wegman's to build here. LOL.

I also had my first garbage plate! It was just as good & I felt just as gross as Tom & everyone else had told me I would. If you don't know what a garbage plate is, it basically is a plate of macaroni salad, home fries, and your choice of meat [I had cheeseburger] all mixed up. Yummy!

We also stopped by the Lilac Festival. We had been up during it 3 years ago & it was cold & rainy. It was cold & windy this time. We seem to always have bad luck with the weather there.

But we are glad to be home! We boarded Ava and she was so glad to see us that she was howling.

This weekend is the weekend we are planning to sleep train Tristan. We don't have any travel or party plans for awhile, so it's time to jump in. I'm nervous about it still, but I think I am mentally ready to do it. It's time for him to learn to fall asleep on his own in his crib.

I hope everyone else is doing well!
