We were going to have Tom's parents and my mom & Jeremy over on Thursday, but I came down with the flu this past monday. My mom watched Tristan while my dad brought me to urgent care. The test came back negative, but the Dr. prescribed me Tamiflu because he said my symptoms sounded flu-like & I was worried about passing it on to Tristan. I started feeling much better by Tuesday & my fever broke, but I still wanted to wait a few days in case I was still contagious.
So yesterday everyone came over. Tom's parents brought the turkey & dressing, Mom brought green bean casserole, beets, & corn and I made sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes & pumpkin pie. Everything was really good & I think we all had a nice time.
Tristan was a little cranky because he didn't sleep well the night before & of course with all the excitement of company he didn't nap for very long. I had some bottles ready for Tristan so he was able to be in the dining room with us & eat. He was pretty interactive afterwards cooing & making little noises & faces.
Tom & I got most of our Christmas decorations out. All we have left are the outside lights & of course the tree. This will be our second Christmas together with a real tree. So we just have to go pick a good one out!
