I had 2 ovarian cysts that I had to go back to the place that did m
y ultrasounds to monitor them and see if they got larger or anything. When I had gone back they found that Paige was measuring small. She was in the 13th percentile (meaning 87% of fetuses are larger at that gestational age). So they had me come back in 3 weeks to do another growth measurement.
The next time I went she had dropped into the 7th percentile. The doctors said they don't know exactly why babies can measure small and there isn't much I can do except relax and try to eat healthy and gain weight. I definitley haven't gained as much with Paige as I did with Tristan, but I think that is because I'm running after a 2 year old all day instead of sitting at a desk.
I went back again in another 3 weeks and she was back up at the 15th pecentile but that spark of hope was short-lived as in another 3 weeks she was back down to the 8th percentile. So now I am going to my regular OB once a weeks for NST (Non-stress test) where they strap my belly to a monitor that records the heart rate, movement & my contractions. I've had two so far and she's looked great on both. I go once a week to the Perinatal doctor who do the ultrasounds. They do doppler tests on the umbilical cord blood flow to make sure she's getting enough nutrients and not showing signs of stress. My next appt. with them is tomorrow and next Friday they will redo the growth measurements. The doctor said if she falls again then they will look at whether she would benefit more outside the wound or not.
So, we're keeping our hopes up that she can stay in my belly until 39 weeks when we would schedule our normal c-section. Otherwise we might be meeting her sooner!
We have begun to get the nursery ready. I know she won't be staying in there for atleast 4-6 months, but I really want to have it done and not have to worry about it. The crib is ready for pick-up at JCPenney today! My parents and aunt were kind enough to make that purchase for us. We got the same crib as Tristan just in antique white. I can't wait to see it! Then I can match the color to some paint for my father's childhood dressers I have.
We got the mattress, mattress pad, and the bedding set recently. I found the bedding set on Target.com. I had my eyes on another one but in an effort to save money I chose a different one that is just as cute & had great reviews.

We've painted one coat of purple paint on the walls but will most likely need two. I've already got some shelves and decor from some garage sales and my mother-in-law and sister-in-law both found two cute lamps for her room. I can't wait to get it set up and I will definitely show pictures.
I have found it more fun to pick out girl stuff then for Tristan. It was fun to do Tristan's, but it's just not pretty like girl stuff :).
I got some inspiration from the etsy site after I couldn't find wooden letters at the local craft stores. I got some little canvases that I painted the green color in the bedding and I'm going to paint the letters of her name on them, attach some ribbon & hang them on the wall.
So right now I'm just juggling getting ready for her, taking care of Tristan, the animals & the house and painting arrows for my parents.
So hopefully I'll be able to update soon with pictures of the nursery!
