Happy Easter! (a little late)

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter holiday!

Me, My grandmother, my mom, Tristan, my dad, and my brother Jeremy.

Tom's mom, father, Jacob, Tom & Tristan

We had Tom's parents, my parents, my brother Jeremy, my grandmother MaryAnn, and our nephew Jacob (who came up from Florida to visit) over for dinner. Pat (Tom's mom) brought the ham & I made green bean casserole, mashed potatoes & honey glazed carrots. It was so nice to have everyone together. It was a full house! I felt bad because we had to pull out our office chair to have enough seats for everyone. Another one of my projects - find either 6 new dining chairs or 2 end chairs!

We had bought our original dining room table & 4 chairs from a company selling some previously rented furniture. I liked it then, but now in our new house, we found it to be too small & now I hate the chairs. We went to Ashley furniture a few weeks ago to look for living room furniture & came upon a nice dining room table (with a leaf!) in the clearance section. So we snatched it up & it has worked well except we have no matching chairs.

Speaking of Ashley furniture, but this past week we eventually took the plunge & bought a new sofa & loveseat. We also bought new end tables & coffee table in brown to match our new seats. We have to wait for them to make the sofas though, which won't be ready until the 22nd. We can't wait!

So slowly but surely we are making progress in our house. OH! And I almost forgot! First I have to admit that I am a craigslist-oholic. I am addicted to finding steals on it. It takes a lot of patience to wade through all the crap on there, but every once in awhile you will find a real gem. So far I have bought our current couches, china cabinet, old end tables, old coffee table, Tristan's dresser, & misc. baby items. My recent steal was a white sofa table & matching mirror for $60! I have the sofa table in my breakfast nook to replace an unattractive etagere that collected junk. It looks so much nicer. I am going to replace the black shelf above the couch with the new white mirror & get 2 white shelves to put on either side.

I started my fitness DVD today. I can't believe how low my endurance is, but I haven't exercised in over a year! I'm happy with my weight, I just need to tone up. I think my brother's comment about my flabby arms lit the fire under my butt. :)

Tristan has started pushing up on his arms & is trying really hard to get up on his knees. He will bring one leg up to his side & turn around in a circle. We probably have another month or two before he starts crawling, but it's amazing to see these "baby steps."

The furbabies are all doing about the same. Boots just had his annual check-up last week. Tom's sister needed a ride to the airport the same morning, so I had to take him in with Tristan. It was a pretty quick visit, so it worked out well. Boots is healthy & has all his shots.

The pollen here is crazy! And it has been unusually hot. It has been late 80's, early 90's! But this coming weekend is supposed to be nice in the low 70's.

Tristan with his Grandpa George!

6 month photos outside!

& I'll leave you with a picture of Tristan & his "determined" face. :)
