Here is our foyer. I love & hate it. I love that it feels so open, but the huge walls look so bare & I'm not sure what to do with them. I also hate that it is still the same ugly yellow flat paint from being built. My vision right now is to make it a picture wall & add either picture molding or recessed panelling so it looks like this {below}. This person did it themselves

It would help break up that wall for sure. When Tristan's older, I would love to tackle this.
Our living room has that same open feel with tall walls. We have already painted the lower half brown & need to put up some molding to divide the wall in two. Then we'll paint the top half & foyer a much lighter color. I might need to repaint because we are shopping for new sofa & loveseat since ours are in desperate need of replacing.
Our bedroom is so plain & ugly too. No paint, no bed frame, 2 dressers from Tom's childhood, a cheap nightstand, an antique table as the other nightstand, and the dog crate. NOT romantic at all! It will probably be the last room we update since company doesn't see it unless we win the lottery {that we don't play, lol}.
